The Supermarine Spitfire is one of Britain's best known aircraft. It was designed by RJ Mitchell and it was a formidable attacking weapon in the war. Aviation fans have dug deep and worked hard to keep the Spitfire going. Out of over 20,000 built, around 50 airworthy examples are left today. Many people would agree that the Spitfire epitomises the bravery of all those who fought for freedom. The Ultimate Spitfire Simulator, Goodwood Aerodrome, West Sussex Wow, this is a Simulator session in a Spitfire MkIX simulator - it's the only Spitfire sim that can be used for training new Spitfire pilots! There's a 15 minute briefing and introduction to the controls and a 30 minute session in the simulator with about 20 minutes "airbourne". You need to allow about an hour on site for this expereince and a guest can accompany you in the simulator. There's an extended session and you'll get a 60 minute session with about 50 minutes "airbourne".
